BCMA
Membership
A
physician must live or practice within the Baltimore County region
to maintain membership with the Baltimore County Medical
Association. There are different membership statuses offered to a physician
and membership with the BCMA also gives you membership with MedChi,
The Maryland State Medical Society. This opens the door to numerous
benefits to you and your practice.
Membership
Types:
FIRST
YEAR: A first year member is in there first year of practice;
working or residing in Baltimore County. A first year member
pays discounted dues.
SECOND
YEAR: A second year member is in there second year of practice;
working or residing in Baltimore County. A second year member
pays discounted dues. * A member who have joined under the
first year membership status will automatically be billed as a
second year member the next billing cycle and your status will automatically
be updated.
ACTIVE:
An full dues paying member member working full time who work or
reside in the Baltimore County region. An active member can
only maintain active membership with one component.
ASSOCIATE:
An Associate member is a part-time practicing physician or a
physician who works for the government. An associate member pays
reduced dues.
AFFILIATE: An Affiliate member active membership with another component
but resides or work within the Baltimore County. A affiliate
member pays a minimum due.
FORTY
YEAR: A forty year members are active members who have been with
BCMA for forty years. Although you may maintain a full time
practice, you are no longer required to pay dues..
EMERITUS: A emeritus member is a retired physician who is no longer required
to pay dues. However, a emeritus member is not grated the
right to vote or to hold office with the Association or MedChi.

listing and ensures the receipt of all publications and alerts.

Your Membership: Keep
your membership status up-to date and current. (if
you are renewing your membership, login to the members
section. Doing a new application may result in duplicating
your information which can cause double billing.)
